Pain relief is what lets people use all three. A person in unrelieved pain cannot walk the road to market, sit through the school day, or carry a child to the clinic. That is why we treat relief not as a service delivered occasionally, but as capacity installed permanently.
Why Pain Is a Systems Problem
Untreated pain is one of the world's leading causes of disability — 1.71 billion people live with musculoskeletal conditions alone, per the Global Burden of Disease study published in The Lancet — and its costs land everywhere at once: labor markets lose workers, schools lose students, health systems absorb repeat demand, and households lose caregivers. A problem that systemic doesn't yield to episodic treatment. It calls for what infrastructure always provides: capacity that is present before the need, and still present after.
