PRI Free Reusable Pain Relief Device Initiative

Program Name:

Free Reusable Pain Relief Device Initiative

Organization:

Pain Relief International (PRI) — seeking collaboration with major global funders and partnering with local organizations worldwide.

Program Summary

The Free Reusable Pain Relief Device Initiative seeks to alleviate pain for underserved populations across the globe by distributing an innovative, reusable, non-invasive, drug-free device based on patented NeuroCuple® technology. This durable product effectively manages a wide range of conditions, from mild discomfort to severe chronic and acute pain.

PRI is actively working to attract collaboration with major global partners—including USAID, the World Bank, WHO, UNICEF, the Gates Foundation, DAF donors, and global health philanthropies—while simultaneously partnering with smaller local NGOs, clinics, volunteer networks, and community-based organizations to ensure broad and equitable distribution.

To support long-term sustainability, PRI also operates a “Buy One, Help Others” revenue model, where the sale of each NeuroCuple® device helps fund the donation of additional devices to individuals in need.

Program Objectives

  • Distribute reusable NeuroCuple® pain relief devices to low-income and underserved populations worldwide.

  • Attract and engage major funders and development agencies (USAID, World Bank, WHO, UNICEF, Gates Foundation, DAFs, and global philanthropies).

  • Strengthen collaborations with local organizations working directly within underserved communities.

  • Scale impact efficiently: For every $1,000,000 raised, PRI can provide relief to over 80,000 people.

  • Implement continuous monitoring and evaluation, including recipient feedback and field reports.

  • Align with global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those advancing health and well-being.

  • Promote environmental sustainability by distributing long-lasting devices that reduce medical waste and transportation burden.

Program Description

The NeuroCuple® pain relief device is:

  • Non-invasive

  • Drug-free

  • Reusable and long-lasting

  • Suitable for all ages

  • Effective across a wide range of pain conditions

  • Durable in extreme or low-resource environments

The device works by interacting with the body’s natural neural signals through advanced biomechanical and neurophysiological principles, offering relief in settings where traditional pain management is unavailable or unreliable.

Target Beneficiaries

This initiative prioritizes:

  • Underserved and low-income individuals

  • Chronic and acute pain sufferers

  • Post-surgical and trauma patients

  • Populations in refugee, crisis, and disaster zones

  • Communities with limited or no access to pain management

PRI’s dual strategy—global partnerships + grassroots collaborators—ensures broad and inclusive reach.

Implementation Method

Devices will be distributed free of charge through:

  • Local volunteers

  • Community-based organizations

  • Small NGOs and clinics

  • Faith-based and regional nonprofits

  • Emerging large-scale international partners as they join the initiative

The “Buy One, Help Others” model supplements donations and grants by directing a portion of each device sale to fund free device distribution in underserved communities. As sales and partnerships grow, distribution capacity expands proportionally.

Success Metrics

Program impact will be measured through:

  • Number of devices distributed

  • Individuals served and pain outcomes reported

  • Reduction in reliance on medication-based solutions

  • Reach and engagement of partner networks

  • Feedback and quality-of-life improvements from recipients

  • Longevity and sustainability of devices in the field

Program Leadership

The initiative is led by Executive Director Rhett F. Spencer, supported by PRI project leaders, volunteers, and collaborating organizations. As large-scale institutional partners join, PRI will coordinate cross-organizational leadership to ensure transparent, efficient deployment.

Legal and Regulatory Considerations

The NeuroCuple® device qualifies as a general wellness product, containing no controlled substances or electrical components, and requiring no consumables. As such, regulatory hurdles are minimal, enabling smooth international distribution.

Timeline

This is an ongoing initiative, with continuous distribution as funding, collaboration, and “Buy One, Help Others” sales expanding. Periodic program reviews will guide improvements, scaling strategies, and evidence-based refinements.
